1. Russia honours PM Narendra Modi with 'Order of St Andrew the Apostle'
Russia on April 12, 2019 announced that it had honoured Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the Order of St Andrew the Apostle, the highest order of the Russian Federation, for promoting partnership and friendly relations between the two countries.

PM Modi has been decorated with the order for exceptional services in promoting a special and privileged strategic partnership between Russia and India and friendly relations between the Russian and Indian people. The information was shared by the Russian Embassy in India.

About Order of St Andrew the Apostle

The Order of St Andrew the Apostle is both the highest and the oldest state decoration of Russia. It was established as the first and highest order of chivalry of the Russian Empire in 1698 but was abolished under the USSR in 1918 before being reinstated as the top Russian order in 1998.The honour is awarded to prominent statesmen and public figures, eminent representatives of science, culture, the arts and various industries for exceptional services, for promoting the prosperity, grandeur and glory of Russia.It may also be awarded to foreign heads of states for outstanding service to the Russian Federation.The award comprises the collar, sash and the star of the Imperial Order.

2. UAE honours PM Narendra Modi with Zayed Medal

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on April 4, 2019 honoured PM Narendra Modi with its highest decoration, Zayed Medal in recognition of his "pivotal role" in strengthening ties between the two nations.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan tweeted "We have historical and comprehensive strategic ties with India, reinforced by the pivotal role of my dear friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who gave these relations a big boost. In appreciation of his efforts, the UAE President grants him the Zayed Medal.”

About Zayed Medal

The Zayed Medal is the highest decoration of the UAE awarded to kings, presidents and heads of states. The honour has previously been conferred on the leaders of several countries including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Queen of the United Kingdom Elizabeth II.

3. PM Narendra Modi conferred with first-ever Philip Kotler Presidential Award

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on January 14, 2019 conferred with the first-ever Philip Kotler Presidential Award.

As per the award citation, the Prime Minister has been selected for his outstanding leadership for the nation. It is under his leadership that India is now identified as the Centre for Innovation and Value Added Manufacturing (through Make in India initiative).

The Citation mentions initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, Digital India, and Swachh Bharat, “which have positioned India as one of the most lucrative manufacturing and business destinations in the world.”

About Philip Kotler Presidential Award 

The Philip Kotler Presidential Award has been named after Proffessor Philip Kotler, a world renowned Professor of Marketing at Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management. 

Professor Kotler deputed Jagdish Sheth of EMORY University, Georgia, USA, to confer the award to PM Modi, owing to his ill-health.


4. Prime Minister Modi was recently honored with the Seoul Peace Prize-2018. He is being given this award for contribution to Indian and global economy. Selection Committee of the Seoul Peace Prize says that he has established economic relations with many countries to improve the welfare area.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded various international awards so far. These awards given to him on different forums in the world have not only increased their credit but also the credibility of India. The major international awards that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has so far received are:
Seoul Peace Prize-2018: 
It was decided on 24th October 2018 after the meeting of the selection committee held in Seoul-Jung-Y, chaired by the Seoul Peace Prize-2018 Chairman Quan E-Hyok, that the social and economic difference between rich and poor in India to do so Prime Minister Modi has done commendable work by Modinomics, which will give him the Seoul Peace Prize.
The twelve-member selection committee has selected the winner after more than 100 candidates from all over the world after a strong, objective and intensive conclave. So far 13 others have been given this award, four of which have also been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

5'Champions of the Earth 2018' award: In September 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given the UN's highest environmental honor. The United Nations had conferred the 'Champions of the Earth' award jointly to Modi and the French President, Emmanuel Macroon. Apart from them, five other individuals and organizations were honored with this award.
Narendra Modi and French Emmanuel Macroon were awarded this award under the 'Policy Leadership' category for pioneering and enthusiastic actions related to the International Solar Coalition and to promote new areas of cooperation in environmental work.
PM Narendra Modi received the 'UNEP Champions of the Earth' award from United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, at a ceremony in Delhi. 


6Palestine Grand Collar Award: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the 'Grand Collar' award in Palestine on 10 February 2018. This is Palestine's best honor given to foreign guests. This honor was given to the steps taken by the PM for the betterment of the relations between India and Palestine. PM Modi has been given this honor by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
The 'Grand Collar' honor is the biggest honor given by Palestine to a foreign guest. It is given to the respected people of any country, the king, the head of state or any such post. Before Prime Minister Modi, King Salman of Saudi Arabia, King Hamad of Bahrain, Chinese President Xi Chunfing etc. have been given this honor.

7. Amir Amanullah Khan Award: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the highest civilian honor of Afghanistan, Amir Amanullah Khan on 4 June 2016. After the inauguration of the historic Afghans-India Friendship Dam, he was honored by President Ashraf Ghani. This is the highest civilian honor given by the Afghan government in appreciation of their services to the citizens of Afghanistan as well as their citizens. It is mentioned behind the medal - "Mark-A Dulati Ghazi Amir Amanullah Khan" i.e. "State Order Gazi Amir Amanullah Khan."
The name of this award has been named after the national hero of Afghanistan, Amanullah Khan (Ghazi), who was a brave warrior of Afghanistan. The Government of Afghanistan had formed this award in the year 2006.

1 .Classification: General Central Service, (Group ‘C’) Non-Gazetted, NonMinisterial

General Instructions


1. The crucial date for determining the age limit, educational qualifications, certificates/testimonials, etc., shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from the candidates.At some centres, no vacancies are reserved for OBC/SC/ST candidates, as per rules. At these centres, the OBC/SC/ST candidates will be treated as UR candidate and age criteria of UR category will be applicable for them.
2 .The date of birth as well as the name of the applicant will invariably be taken from the matriculation certificate issued by a recognized board. No other proof of date of birth and name shall be accepted.Certificates in support of qualifications must have been obtained on or before the closing date from recognized Institution/University/Board.
3. Those candidates, who are yet to get their matriculation certificate, if called for interview, would be required to submit a proof of passing the matriculation on or before the closing date. Such proof would not be entertained if issued after the closing date on ground of late conduct of examination, delay in declaration of result or any other ground whatsoeverAny change in category will NOT be entertained in future and the candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled.
4. Mobile Phones and other electronic gadgets are banned within the premises of the examination centres. The arrangement for safe keeping of valuable/costly items at the venues can not be assured. Possession of such equipments, even in switch off mode, during the exam will be considered as use of unfair means. Candidature of such candidates will be cancelled. Besides, they will be liable for further action as may be decided by this office.

Note: 
i. The candidate can opt for only one SIB/Centre of Examination and would, thus, be considered for vacancies earmarked for the said SIB/centre only. Applications received for more than one SIB/centre from a candidate would be summarily rejected.
ii. The number of vacancies is provisional and liable to change.
iii. The applicant should select the SIB/examination centre, carefully & indicate the same correctly in his/her application. SIB/Centre of examination, once opted, will NOT be changed in any circumstances.
iv. Candidates may not necessarily get the same centre of examination in Tier-I exam as opted by them, though all efforts would be made to accommodate them in nearby centres. However the candidature of such candidates will be considered against the vacancies of opted SIB/centre.

Selection Procedure

On the basis of their performance in Tier-I exam, candidates would be shortlisted for Tier-II & Tier-III exam at 10 times the number of vacancies. The final selection would be further subject to successful completion of Character & Antecedent verification followed by medical examination, etc.

How to Apply

1. Applications should be submitted online through MHA’s website (www.mha.gov.in) or NCS portal (www.ncs.gov.in) only. Applications will NOT be accepted through any other mode.The application portal will be operational from 20.10.2018 to 10.11.2018 till 2359 hours. Registration done, prior to 20.10.2018 and after 10.11.2018, will not be accepted
2. Those candidates who apply on the closing date (10.11.2018) can deposit the fees offline in any branch of SBI India on 12.11.18 and 13.11.18. All such candidates are required to take the printout of challan before 2359 hrs on 10.11.2018. The fees can also be paid online up to 13.11.18. However, all such candidates must have registered on or before the closing date.
